Our Baby Boy.

.Isaiah Michael.

8lbs.15oz.

*the Lord helps me*
*who is like the Lord?*

"You will guide him and keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You,
because he commits himself to you, leans on You, and hopes confidently in you.

So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever,
for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock, the Rock of Ages."

Isaiah 26: 3&4

Seeking...

Writing out the Word on index cards to be taken with me throughout the day...

...pulled out of envelope to be studied during times of waiting... or on evening walks...

to be glanced at and then repeated in quiet thoughts while stitching up quilt by hand,

or to be propped on window sill to be read while preparing food for empty stomachs...

I fill my heart, hiding His Word deep down, food for my soul when I need it most...

which is so often, each and every day.

One of my favorite passages about memorizing in the Bible is this:

How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to your word.
I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
[...]
I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways.
I delight in your decrees;
I will not neglect your word.

Psalm 119: 9-11 & 15-16.

Isn't this what it's all about anyway...

...that we might not sin against Him?

And then I made these...

Tiny envelopes made to tuck a single tea bag within...
... and possibly a scripture verse to encourage the recipient?

A great way to use up little scraps of fancy paper,
don't you think?

Word Filled Wednesday

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge him
and he will direct your paths.

Proverbs 3: 5&6

I'm clinging to this... because I must... there's just no other way through this time in our lives... and it's really the only way... isn't it...

Word Filled Wednesday

Be still, and know that I am God,
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.

Psalm 1 by Memory

This is what Jayden and I have been working on for the past 7 weeks.

It's so special to be able to memorize scripture together.

He's very proud of himself so I told him I would put the video on the "computer" so that Auntie's and Oma's and whoever else is interested could see how well he's done.

Leave a comment... he's waiting to hear what you think! ;)

My "young man"

My first born, Jayden (6), was pretending to get married last week when he discovered this shirt in the box of clothes I was going through. :)

He insisted that I take a picture of him. Isn't he handsome?

Our memory verse for this week and my prayer for my sons:

"He is like a tree planted by
streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers."
Psalm 1:3

Commiting to memory...

"But his delight is in the law of the Lord

and on this law he meditates day and night."
