Blue-eyed Boy

So, I decided I should get some practice photographing babies that are a little older. Newborns are easy because they will sleep through most anything.

My precious baby, Isaiah, is almost 5 months old and so active already! It's hard to get a shot of him being still! He also REFUSED to look at the camera! Not sure why... maybe he's tired of that "black thing" always in his face???

I'm so thrilled with this shot, though. My very favorite of him, so far.

Sweet Elizabeth

Another photo session with another dear friend. I was so thrilled to be able to practice on this gorgeous 1 week old baby girl and her pretty mama. Can you believe this is her 6th baby? Doesn't she look so happy and peaceful? I just love her.

Perfect Entertainment.

I absolutely adore the way that Allan interacts with Isaiah. He just loves him to bits and talks and plays with him all the time.

As I sit here typing, he has taken his toys to where Isaiah is hanging in the Jolly Jumper and is playing with them and singing and talking right in front of him.

Perfect entertainment. What a wonderful big brother.

I tried to upload a small video clip of him playing "thumb wars" with Isaiah but it doesn't seem to work... it was taking forever to load so I gave up. :o( It was so cute, though.

(Anyone else have the same problem with loading video?)

Lovin' on him.

One of the big things I was really excited about with having a new baby was to be able to watch my older children love on him. Yes, sometimes a little too much, but I take such pleasure in seeing their enjoyment of Isaiah that I rarely will tell them to stop. They are so gentle and loving with him. What a blessing we have been given.

I am so excited to see what the Lord has for us in 2011 and pray for peace, contentment and many joy-filled days.

Skating on the Pond

For Jayden's 9th birthday party he went with his brother, Marcus and three of his friends out to the pond by our house for some ice hockey fun. I walked out their with Allan and Isaiah to capture a few moments on camera. I wasn't planning to but am now so glad I did.

It's not often that they get to experience the outdoors quite like this.

Brings back many great memories of my own childhood... skating on the pond with my siblings. Such delightful times.
