Dahlia's on the Hutch
Looking like Spring but unmistakably Autumn because they look so good with the sunflowers gracing the table next to it.
And how could you mistake sunflowers for being anything other than Golden Autumn, right?
These flowers in my vegetable garden came a little late this year... but better late than never! And with these beautiful Indian Summer days, they're still very much being enjoyed.

Blossoms Discovered
Kinda neat to discover blossoms on this easy to grow, non-fussy houseplant this morning.
I'm surprised it awarded me with such prettiness after all my neglectful care.
I don't even have a name for it. Does anyone happen to know what it should be called?
+++++
*Updated* Looks like I'll answer my own question. :) After doing a bit of poking around in Google images I've discovered that this is a Strawberries and Cream Wax Plant or Hoya!
...Strawberries and Cream. Mmmm.... I like it. :)

The Perfect Summer Fruit...
...especially when it brings back such great memories of my childhood days. Back when all watermelons, it seemed, still had black seeds.
I was so delighted when I cut this one open after bringing it home from a roadside stand.
"This is the real thing, kids!" I said.
"Cool! Can we collect the seeds and put them in the garden?!" was their immediate response.
I love how they love the outdoors and how excited they are to watch things grow.

What's your favorite summer fruit? And do you have memories of childhood summers eating them outside, as well?

A Photo Shoot for Grad.
This past Canada Day I had the privilege of spending some special time with my sister and her 6 wonderful daughters, the oldest of which has just graduated high school. We went all around their farm and I had so much fun taking pictures of them (mostly her two oldest) in their pretty dresses.
Thanks, girls, for being willing to try different things, there's many more to show you... like, 95 shots all together... I know, I went a little overboard but you'll like them, I promise! :)

Shiloh and Isaiah
Yesterday.
The rain had finally let up followed by a gorgeous sunny day today.
Made the most of it by capturing a few moments of Shiloh at 6.5 months and Isaiah at 8.5 months.

On a Friday Afternoon

Warm sunshine but then it rains... and rains ... and rains. The boys are wild indoors but then out they go again... muddy boots, then flip-flops, winter clothes and summer clothes... it's just that sort of Spring.
*****
Photo's: Allan and Isaiah looking out at the rain, Isaiah in his first shorts of the year, Isaiah playing peek-a-boo with the curtain, the boys just hanging out in the living-room... a common sight around here.
