Elusive Spring

I'm beginning to wonder... if just maybe:

"To be interested in the changing seasons is a happier state of mind
than to be hopelessly in love with spring."

~George Santayana

Sending out a bit of early last weeks sunshine to those of us who looked out the window this morning at yet another layer of snow.

Just when the buds where beginning to unfurl, winter has come upon us again.

Twice already this morning, one or another of the boys have gazed out the window at the white and wistfully asked, "Will Spring ever come?"

I know how they feel.

What's it like where you are?

  1. Seems we skipped spring here and went straight to summer. The days have been hot (think low 80's). Of course, here in the deep south we rarely have really cold days anyway and snow is even more rare. Hope you guys get a taste of warm weather soon.

  3. It feels as though summer has arrived. We have had a really nice spring, but we broke the ninety degree mark today. The mornings and evenings are delightful, but it's just plain hot in the afternoon.
I would love to send you a bit of our warm weather - just not quite sure how to do that.

  4. I'm sorry to tell you the weather is beautiful here. But we'll be paying for it in August. It will be so hot then you can't go outside. I pray you guys get Spring soon!

  6. currently we're in Mexico visiting friends... Glorious!!! The weather here is a cool 70 with a little breeze of the coast. It's perfect and beautiful and I'm missing living here (like crazy). Back home in Northern Cal I would not be surprised if there was snow on the ground. We're known for getting our last snow in june. I love the summers up in the mountains.... but I could do without the 9 months of winter.
